Our panel of experts will help to answer all your questions with practical advice and the latest tools to help build a successful practice. We will cover business development, pitching, media relations, branding and so much more.

Martin Waxman conducts digital and social media training workshops and is a communications strategist. He’s a Lynda.com author, one of the hosts of the Inside PR podcast, and past-chair of PRSA Counselors Academy.  Martin teaches social media at UToronto SCS and Seneca College and regularly speaks at conferences and events across North America.

Panelist: Mark Lavigne, APR, MA, FCPRS

Mark Hunter LaVigne, is an award-winning PR practitioner with 27 years’ experience as a media relations specialist. He operates his own media relations and media training firm, Hunter LaVigne Communications Inc. and prior to his career in public relations, he worked as a radio journalist for five years. His client roster Allstate Insurance Canada, Equifax Canada, Jesuits of Canada (Canadian Canoe Pilgrimage), Lexmark Canada, Lever, Maple Leaf Consumer Foods, McCormick Canada, Netflix, and Norwich Union. He has taught media relations at Seneca at York and Ryerson and is currently teaching at Centennial College, and has guest lectured on that subject widely including at McGill, McMaster, and York universities and various colleges across the country. He has also designed and delivered workshops for the Canadian Institute as well as the Canadian Public Relations Society.
