President, GLPi
(CPRS Toronto President: 1996-97)
Glenn Pothier is the founder and president of GLPi, a communication, facilitation and research consulting firm focused on helping clients to operate successfully and communicate effectively in complex environments. GLPi assists organizations to move from where they are to where they want to be — this is the big idea that animates and drives the company. In doing so, GLPi develops and executes powerful, compelling communication and consultation strategies involving multifaceted, often controversial issues. The firm also provides a full-range of qualitative and quantitative research services — from focus groups to large-scale surveys.
Glenn is an acknowledged leader as a strategic planner, communication consultant, facilitator and researcher. For over two decades, he has helped countless organizations from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors to develop innovative communication, nurture ideas, and reposition themselves (and/or their initiatives) to meet the challenges of a changing marketplace or operating environment.
Glenn is an accredited member (APR designation) of the Canadian Public Relations Society and a CPRS and IABC award winner. He is also a recipient of the Certified Marketing Research Professional designation and a member of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association. In addition, Glenn is a member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Counselors Academy, a member of the Corporate Communications Advisory Committee of Sheridan College, and a national board member of Earth Day Canada.
Glenn holds a Master in Environmental Studies: Communications Policy — the Broadcast Media and Telecommunications (York University, 1987) and a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Radio & Television Arts), Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, 1984.
